BootsAndGear is a Rishikesh-based travel company created by two Uttarakhand natives who grew up where the road ends — and never wanted to leave.
We didn't discover the Himalayas on a holiday — we grew up in them. Waking up to snow-capped peaks, walking forest trails to school, and falling asleep to the sound of the Ganga was simply life. For us, nature isn't a getaway; it's in our blood.
The more we explored our own backyard — hidden trails, riverside camps, quiet temples most maps miss — the more we felt one thing clearly: this needs to be shared. Not the crowded, checklist kind of tourism, but the real Uttarakhand we know as locals.
That feeling became BootsAndGear — a travel company built by people who actually live here, for travellers who want to experience these mountains the way we do: up close, unhurried, and real.
